He would look out for my interests and wishes, keep my budget in mind, but speak up when safety or long-term needs required consideration.
• High standards and thoroughness of his work. Richard found repairs that were critical for the long-term life of my home that even the private home inspector and the pest inspector missed!
• Experienced in working with obtaining permits, knowing codes and other requirements of his contractor’s license.
• Experienced in all aspects of construction. His personal expertise as a carpenter and all aspects of construction enabled him to oversee his crew to ensure high quality work.
• Good advocate with vendors. Without him I would have spent more money and not have been treated fairly on several occasions.
• High quality subcontractors and employed craftsmen. His workers were honest, clean, polite, enjoyable to work with and did a quality job.
• Honesty and integrity personally as a contractor and skilled craftsman.
The bottom line is that Richard did a fabulous job in renovating what really was a “trashed” house into what looks like a model home today. The project was completed at a very fair price and the quality is such I don’t expect to have to touch it for years to come!”
